The Mission of E-bike Safety Advocates - Marin is to improve safety for cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers throughout Marin County by advocating for:

• expanded laws to clarify e-bike/e-moto distinction and the minimum age requirement of ordinance AB 1778

• greater enforcement tools such as expanded impoundment authority for law enforcement (AB 875 is pending)

• raising public awareness, promoting education

• educating and working collaboratively with authorities on existing laws and best enforcement techniques.

Our Goals include:

• building a shared community resource focused on e-motos—a one-stop site where parents, kids, neighbors, educators, local leaders, and law enforcement can all find reliable, up-to-date information

• gathering additional information systematically.

• significantly lowering accident rates involving e-wheels

• eliminating e-motos from Marin County
